The Seraph is the second novel by designer, builder, historian and author, Jane Goodrich.  This novel is another deeply researched work of historical literary prose that explores the nature of truth and falsehood based on the life of Cora Page, a once-famous nineteenth-century Spiritualist.  Based on real people and events during the Civil War era, The Seraph moves between the glamour and the dark of the seance room, into the worlds of frauds, true believers, political radicals and charlatans in the tumult and tragedy of its era and poses questions about the nature of truth and faith that remain relevant today.

Jane Goodrich is also the author of another much-loved work of historic fiction, The House at Lobster Cove. Both books will be available for purchase and signing. The event will take place in the Library Reading Room.
