The American Family and the Law
Date: December 11, 2024
Time: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Witherle Memorial Library will sponsor a six-week discussion group on “The American Family and the Law,’’ beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at the library’s Reading Room. Each session will last for about one hour and will run on Wednesdays with breaks on Nov. 6 and Nov. 27.

Rosen is the Cromwell Professor Emeritus of Anthropology at Princeton University and Adjunct Professor of Law Emeritus at Columbia University. A member of the bar of the U.S. Supreme Court and named to the first group of MacArthur Award recipients he has taught family law at various universities and is the author most recently of Legitimacy in Crisis and The Rights of Groups.
