Noah Brooks Series with Ted Lameyer

Noah Brooks Series with Ted Lameyer
Date: July 2, 2026
Time: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Architect and historian Ted Lameyer will present a three-part series based on his extensive research on Castine’s own Noah Brooks, under the watchful eye of the man himself in the Witherle Memorial Library Reading Room. Co-sponsored by the Castine Historical Society.

The first lecture in the series will focus on Brooks’ life, and will be followed by a discussion of his art. The final lecture will focus on Brooks and baseball.

In conjunction with the lectures, the library will feature several displays of Brooks’ memorabilia, including his glasses and a lap desk, most of it on loan from the Castine Historical Society. The displays will remain during July and August.

Each presentation will be about 45 minutes and followed by a Q & A. Light refreshments will be served. The lectures are free and open to the public.
