Future Trends: Book Discussion on Creating Zero Waste

Future Trends: Book Discussion on Creating Zero Waste
Date: July 10, 2019
Time: 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

with Barbara Fleck

Each American throws away, on average, a ton of trash each year. China and other countries are no longer willing to take US recycling. What happens when you throw something “away”? Discuss these and other questions about trash. Barbara Fleck will lead the discussion based on the book “Garbology” by Edward Humes, and books on the reducing personal trash production (the library has “Zero Waste Home” by Bea Johnson, and “Start Your Zero Waste Home” by Nicole Menendez).

The reading is optional. All are welcome to join the conversation. Additional books on zero waste will also be available for checkout on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To register please contact the library.
