Bring a Poem, Share a Poem
Is there a poem that has held a meaningful place in your life? A companion you have valued over the years or a new “friend” you have recently discovered?
On Wednesday, September 23, from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m., community members will gather at Witherle Memorial Library to share their favorite poems during this read-aloud event. Feeling shy about being a reader, but you’d love to hear the poems? Terrific! Join this program as an audience member.
Presenters are asked to do the following: Sign up through the library as the number of readers is limited to twelve. Provide the names of the poem and poet of each poem you intend to share, so we can avoid duplication and also organize the program’s order of presentation. Additionally, we hope to provide all presenters and audience members with a printed collection of the evening’s selections. Limit your presentation time to under five minutes. You may present more than one poem, provided you do not exceed that five minute time frame.
