This month, the CAA-Witherle Play Reading Group will read 1536, Ava Pickett’s bold debut which shows how a trio of ordinary women in rural Essex learn of the queen’s death, and speaks clearly to our own age. Here is a link to the play’s 2025 review in The Guardian.
