The Zoning Board of Appeals held a public hearing for the Witherle Memorial Library Administrative Appeal alleging error by the Castine Historic Preservation Commission. The appeal stems from the CHPC’s 10/15/2024 denial of a Historic Preservation Certificate for the Witherle Memorial Library landscaping project. After review and discussion, the ZBA reversed the CHPC’s denial of a Historic Preservation Certificate by unanimous decision.
