DESCRIPTION:Vroom!!\n\n\nThanks to a generous gift from the Friends of With
 erle Library\, Toddler Storytime is hitting the road!\n\nIn honor of the 5
 0th anniversary of Richard Scarry's Cars and Trucks and Things that Go\, o
 nce a month\, children will enjoy at story followed by time on child-sized
  vehicles.\nToddlers are at the sensorimotor stage\, when they learn about
  the world through their senses and by physically interacting with objects
 . Some of the vehicles are imaginative\, such as a ladybug car\, while oth
 ers are familiar to the children\, such as a UPS truck or farm equipment.\
 nThese sessions will focus on motor skills\, problem-solving\, language de
 velopment\, imagination\, and sharing. This activity will help them learn 
 to be careful\, too.  As we do with library books and the Mr Wiggles prog
 ram in PreK-K\, the Storytime children will learn to treat the vehicles we
 ll\, park them carefully\, shut the doors and close the hatches before tak
 ing a turn on a new vehicle.\n\nAges 1 to 5 with a grownup.\n\nEmerson Hal
