DESCRIPTION:Tim Caverly will present\, Allagash–New England's Wild River\
 , during which the audience will virtually canoe the 92 mile Allagash Rive
 r and hear the lore and legends from Maine’s wilderness.\n\nTim Caverly 
 is a Maine author who has given talks all over Maine about his experiences
  in the outdoors. He has dedicated 32 years as a Maine State Parks Ranger 
 and 18 years as Supervisor of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.\n\nThis pr

 verly\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTim Caverly has spent his life in Maine’s outdoors. G
 rowing up shadowing his father who was a fire warden with the Maine Forest
  Service and his brother\, a ranger in Baxter State Park\, it was natural 
 for him to seek a career in the outdoors. Tim is originally from Skowhegan
 \, Maine and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree and a teaching certificat
 e from the University of Maine at Machias.\n\nWhile in college\, Tim began
  working as a ranger at Sebago Lake State Park for the State Parks and Rec
 reation Commission. After Sebago\, he continued his employment with the De
 partment of Conservation with assignments as a manager of Aroostook and Co
 bscook Bay State Parks as well as a regional supervisor of the Allagash Re
 gion\; which included the Allagash Wilderness Waterway and the Penobscot R
 iver Corridor. Tim was supervisor of the Allagash Wilderness Waterway for 
 eighteen years.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn 1999\, Tim retired from the Department
  after a 32-year career.\n\n
